This is a Simple craft activity for preschoolers who are interested in skeletons and Human Anatomy. We did this while Dimples was fascinated about how our body works, as he was exploring Human Anatomy. This could also be a cool Halloween Decoration.
We did two lots of crafts. One being some Skeletons and another being a People chain.
The first is simply a cut out of a Human Silhouette in black paper, and a drawn on skeleton using a White out (liquid paper) correction pen. Dimples was interested in what bones looked like so we first explored some pictures, x-rays, activity books and reference books on what our bones and skeleton look like. It was a little difficult to begin with but he got the hang of it (he had to give one some ears, even though we explored the skull shape & what ears are made from) I think its the cutest, like a Koala Human :)
The next was a paper chain to represent the different body systems.
This accompanied our learning about Human Anatomy, Dimples has a tag reader going over the different body systems and a poster that her referred to.
Folding a piece of paper into three, then cutting out a body silhouette making sure to keep the hands & feet slightly connected, I made a chain of people for him to draw on. He used white chalk to do the skeleton, then used red to do our nervous system & brain, then on the last (the one he enjoyed the most) he did the intestines, lungs, heart and liver, even differentiating colours for the small and large intestines.
